Town of Dewey July 9, 2024 Town Board Meeting Minutes
2. All parties present were notified to silence cell phones and other devices.
3. Public Comment: None. 4. The Minutes of the June 4, 2024, meeting were approved on a Johnson/Dahlstrom motion. 5. The Minutes of the 2024 Board of Review Meeting were approved on a Johnson/Dahlstrom motion. 6. The Treasurers’ report was read and, on a Dahlstrom/Crosby motion, was approved. 7. The Financial review was conducted. 8. Bids received for the Williams Rd. LRIP project were opened and reviewed. The bids were as follows: Madison Construction $11,299.00 Burnett County $15,500.00 After some discussion, the bid by Madison Construction was accepted on a Crosby/Dahlstrom motion. 9. Discussion on taking out a line of credit to cover various road projects especially as the LRIP projects that require the Town to cover all costs before being reimbursed by grants. Motion to approve obtaining a line of credit in the amount of $300,000 approved on a Crosby/Dahlstrom motion. 10. Road Maintenance report by Mark Melton. Some work being done on equipment and mowing continues to be done. Work on the Town Hall Rd. bridge is waiting for action by the County. 11. Other Business: The Clerk noted that the Town has received from the Washburn County Historical Society some old Town documents from the early 1900s. It was discussed that we select a couple of documents to inexpensively frame for the Town Hall with the rest being offered to the Burnett County Historical Society. 12. Monthly correspondence reviewed. 13. Approval of monthly expenditures. Dahlstrom/Crosby motion to approve checks #10542 to #10558 in the amount of $18,724.49. Motion carried. 14. August 7, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. was set for the next Board Meeting. 15. The Meeting was adjourned at 7:21 p.m. on a Dahlstrom/Crosby motion. Comments are closed.
