Town Board Meeting Minutes
1. Meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Chairman Duane Johnson. Others present were Supervisor Jeff Stellrecht and Gary Crosby, Treasurer Donna Meeds, and David Coon, Clerk. Nine Town residents were also present. 
​2. All parties present were notified to silence cell phones and other devices. 
3. Public Comment: Donna discussed that she had dropped her landline phone. Issues were also discussed regarding County Line Rd. 
4. The Minutes of the March 10, 2026, town board meeting were approved on a Stellrecht/Crosby motion. 
5. The Treasurer’s report was read and reviewed. 
6. The Financial review was conducted. 
7. Swiss Chalet Road LRIP bids were opened and reviewed. One bid was received from Monarch Paving in the amount of $251,932. The bid included shouldering with Madison doing the shouldering. It would be about 1.24 miles of road with 3” of pavement, at 20 feet wide. It would be completed by September, 2026. On a Crosby/Stellrecht motion, the bid from Monarch Paving was accepted. 
8. An ordinance regarding Fire Inspection Frequency was considered. A motion was approved on a Stellrecht/Crosby motion to adopt the ordinance which will be sent to both fire departments. 
9. Possible ordinance language to name Board of Review alternates was discussed. After discussion, an ordinance will be drafted to name Bret Iverson, Steve Dahlstrom and Mark Knoop at alternates.
10. The USDA Beaver Control Contract was considered and approved on a Stellrecht/Crosby motion. 
11. The Software Maintenance Agreement for the County Property Tax System (Transcendent Technologies) was considered and approved on a Crosby/Stellrecht motion. 
12. Postal rate increase information was reviewed. Pre-purchase of 10 rolls of Forever Stamps for town use was approved on a Crosby/Stellrecht motion. 
13. Road Maintenance Report: Two loads of rock were delivered to Lakeview Church Road near Bashaw Lake to deter beavers from digging. Culverts on Sand Road were discussed. Brush cutting has been completed in areas. Work was done on Oak and Poquette Lake Road ditches. Burnett County advised that blades will triple in cost. They purchased in advance approximately two years-worth of blades before they go up in price.
14. Clerk’s Report was given. 
15. Monthly correspondence reviewed. 
16. Approval of monthly expenditures. Checks #10830 through #10850 in the amount of $22,313.11 were approved on a Stellrecht/Crosby motion. 
17. The next meeting was set for May 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. 
18. The Meeting was adjourned at 8:57 p.m. on a Crosby/Stellrecht motion.
