Town Board Meeting Minutes

1. Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chairman Duane Johnson.  Others present were Supervisors Jeff Stellrecht and Gary Crosby, Treasurer Donna Meeds, and David Coon, Clerk. Four town residents also attended.*

​2. All parties present were notified to silence cell phones and other devices.
3. Public Comment: None. 
4. The Minutes of the June 10, 2025, town board meeting were approved on a Stellrecht/Crosby motion.
5. Review of the June 10, 2025, Board of Review Minutes were passed to the August meeting. 
6. The Treasurer’s report was read and reviewed. Donna will check on the amount of the road fund loan after the prior bank error closing out the loan.
7. The Financial review was conducted. 
8. Road Maintenance Report: One round of mowing has been done and some repairs are being done on equipment. A few trees are being cut after the recent storms. A brief discussion was had about emergency road fund in case of storm damage. As to the Town Hall Bridge, a discussion has been had with the DNR regarding the project and the cost prohibitive nature of using a box culvert. The matter is still making its way through the approval process. 
9. Other Business: There was discussion about an upcoming meeting regarding the new A-5 zoning at the county. It was noted that there have been some issues with recent Open Records request emails containing viruses and malware, and caution has been advised. The review of various options for a new Town computer is ongoing. 
10. Monthly correspondence reviewed.
11. Approval of monthly expenditures. Crosby/Stellrecht motion to approve checks #10730 to #10737 in the amount of $149,106.35, was passed as was a motion to use the Road Fund Loan to pay for check #10734, $133,612, to Monarch Paving.
12. August 13, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. was set for the next Board Meeting. 
13. The Meeting was adjourned at 7:32 p.m. on a Stellrecht/Crosby motion.
