Town Board Meeting Minutes
 

1. Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chairman Duane Johnson.  Others present were Supervisors Jeff Stellrecht and Gary Crosby, Treasurer Donna Meeds, and David Coon, Clerk. Nine town residents also attended.*

​2. All parties present were notified to silence cell phones and other devices.
3. Public Comment: Jim Bernecker provided the Town with framed documents from the Town’s early days as well as binders of other documents and was thanked for it. Duane Johnson noted that he had a call from a resident. Noting that the Town officials are basic volunteers, he reminded residents that they should exhibit some common courtesy and decency with communicating about Town issues. 
4. The Minutes of the April 15, 2025, town board meeting were approved on a Crosby/Stellrecht motion.
5. The Treasurers’ report was read and reviewed. 
6. The Financial review was conducted. 
7. Bids for the Williams Road project were opened and read. There was only one bid received, from Monarch Paving. The bid was for paving at a cost of $123,812.50 and shouldering at a cost of $16,834.68 if done by Monarch or $11,112 if subcontracted to SB Madison. The bid was accepted on a Stellrecht/Crosby motion with the SB Madison subcontracting. 
8. The renewal of the Building Inspector Contract was accepted on a Stellrecht/Crosby motion.
9. Road Maintenance Report: We are waiting for some parts to replace bearings on the tractor. We need some rain to allow for doing some grading work. He is working on some signs and tree cutting. The culvert on Swiss Chalet will probably be worked on in June. There was a discussion about the Town Hall Rd bridge. The DNR had some issues with the report not exploring using a box culvert. The DNR is talking to the preparer of the study. We will have to consider if we need to get our state representative involved in the matter.
10. Other Business: It was noted that the Open Book review is happening on June 3rd.
11. Monthly correspondence reviewed.
12. Approval of monthly expenditures. Stellrecht/Crosby motion to approve checks #10711 to #10720 in the amount of $13,912.77, was approved.
13. June 10 2025, at 7:00 p.m. was set for the next Board Meeting. 
14. The Meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m. on a Crosby/Stellrecht motion.
