Town of Dewey September 9, 2025 Town Board Meeting Minutes
2. All parties present were notified to silence cell phones and other devices.
3. Public Comment: Glen Albee discussed concerns about the condition of Sand Rd., including some damage to springs on vehicles. Various options were discussed including grant programs and just pulverizing the surface for now while grant programs cycle through budget years. 4. The Minutes of the August 13, 2025, town board meeting were approved on a Crosby/Stellrecht motion. 5. Adam Kremer presented a contract for assessor services. Contract with adjustment to payment schedule was approved on a Crosby/Stellrecht motion. 6. Carl Thomfohrda of Rural Mutual Insurance conducted a review of the Town’s policy. On a Crosby/Stellrecht motion, it was approved to drop the 2002 International Truck, increase the agreed value of the 2007 truck to $60,000, and add a cosmetic damage rider for $128.00. 7. The Treasurer’s report was read and reviewed. 8. The Financial review was conducted. It was discussed that we are waiting on the LRIP money for Williams Rd. 9. Reviewed road projects for grant applications. Poquette Lake Road to be proposed for the TRIP-D/S grants this year. Passed on a Stellrecht/Crosby Motion. If available, the Town look at applying for an ARIP grant for Sand Rd. Passed on a Crosby/Stellrecht motion. 10. Road Maintenance Report: Town Hall Road culvert project has been started. Mower is being fixed and will be filling potholes. 11. Clerks Report: None. 12. Monthly correspondence reviewed. 13. Approval of monthly expenditures. Crosby/Stellrecht motion to approve checks #10748 to #10758 in the amount of $49,427.77, was passed. 14. October 14, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. was set for the next Board Meeting. 15.
