Town of Dewey, Public Hearing and Elector's Meeting Minutes, 11/14/2023

Public Budget Hearing

​1. Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Board Chairman Duane Johnson.  Others present were Supervisors Steve Dahlstrom and Gary Crosby, Treasurer Donna Meeds, and David Coon, Clerk. Also present were 9 town residents.*

2. Public Comments were taken including questions related to the line item regarding “resale” which relates to the sale of items and services like gravel and driveway plowing to town residents and regarding the costs of elections and the likelihood of additional costs in 2024 due to the presidential election in November.

​3. Meeting adjourned on a Dahlstrom/Crosby motion.  

Elector’s Meeting
​

1. The Town Elector’s Meeting was opened immediately after the closing of the Public Budget Hearing. Same parties and residents were present.
2. Motion was made by Jim Bernecker to approve the Resolution to Exceed Levy Limits by $16,137. Seconded by Bret Iverson. There was no additional discussion. Motion carried unanimously.
3. Motion was made by Bret Iverson to approve the Resolution to Set the 2023 Levy paid in 2024 at $99,854. Seconded by Jim Bernecker. There was no additional discussion. Motion carried unanimously.
4. On a motion by Jim Bernecker and seconded by Bret Iverson, the meeting was adjourned.
